"The Westhaven Park Civic League at a special meeting, held ~ March 1958~ voted unani-
mously to oppose the proposed rezoning of the severally numbered parcels of land located within the bloc~ bounde~
by Henry Street, Rodman Avenue, Brighton Street and Airline Boulevard, and further identified as tots 5, 7, 9,
10, ll, lZ, 1S, 15, 17 and portions ef lots ~,~,8,8,14,18,18,~0,~, ~4 of block llS.
The League is of the opinion tha~ rez~u~ng these lots for other than dwelling use would
materially depreciate the values of residential properties which border on three sides of the above described
area. The League is further of the opinion that vehicular traffic attracted to the proposed husd~ess establish-
meat would further endanger the many children, who, because of necessity are funneled through this area on their
way to and from school. For these and numerous other reasons, which will be presented ~o Council by League rep-
resentatives, the League respectfully petitions your honorable body to disapprove the request for rezoninE the
above described parcels of land.
Signed - O.F. Bradshaw and others."
