<br />56-130 - "I s~hmit the attached resolution and recommend its adoption

<br />'~, the United States of Amebic&, acting by and through the Public
<br />Housing and Home Finance A~ency (hereinafter called 'PHA'~ has proffered a
<br />Deed, dated April 17, 1956, dedicating to the City of Portsmouth (hereinafter
<br />~alled the 'City'), the streets, water distri~utionsystem, and the storm and
<br />sanitary sewer collection systems of the Douglas Park War Housing Project, to-
<br />together with the water pumping station and~certain w~ter mains of the Alexander
<br />Park War Housing Project; and
<br /> WHEREAS, it has been determined and recommended by-the City Department of
<br />Public Works that certain drainage work and individual water meter instslla-
<br />tions should be made on the Douglas Park site; and
<br /> WHEREAS, the ~ has proffered to the City a con~rac~ whereby the required
<br />work would be accomplished by the City and the PHA would.reimburse the City
<br />therefor in an amount not to exceed $104~455.75~
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the C~ty of Portsmouth as
<br /> follows:
<br /> 1. The con~rac~ proffered by the PHA~ da~ed April 17th, 1956, be
<br /> and hereby is accepted, and the CityManager is directed to
<br /> execute such contract and proceed to carry our those conditions
<br /> thereof which are the obligation of the City.

<br /> 1958~ be and hereby is accepted~.and the City ~anager is au -
