Barclay, City Attorney. <br /> <br />The meeting wzs opened with prayer by the Rev. Charles ~ache~ <br /> <br /> 57-115 - The rezoning application of A.D. Stow and J. W. Haywood, co rezone pro- <br />perty located on the south side of King Street~ beginning thirty feet east of Rodman Avenue, fronting sixty <br />feet on King Street, by 10S.5 feet deep, lots 19 and 21 of block 143 - application co rezone from "C" Two F~mily <br />District to '~E-I" Transitional District. <br /> <br />The following people spoke for the application : <br /> <br />Lipscomb, <br /> <br /> W.J. Moody, representing Mr. Stow and Mr.. Haywood, A.D. Stow, Herbert Willard, Ike <br />Mr. Britt, Harry Goodman, and Cecil Johnson, representing ~Lr. Roy Rodman spoke against the closing. <br /> <br /> Mr. Hinton made motion to concur in the recommendation of the Planning Commission ~o <br />place the following ordinance on firs~ reading: <br /> <br />"AA- OtEDINANCE TO CLOSE PORTIONS OF CLIFFORD STREET, BART STREET, ;~rD VERMONT AVENUE AS <br /> SHOWN ON THE PLAT OF LIVINGSTON LAND COMP~NY AND ON THE PLAT~ OF VIRGINIA REALTY AND INVESTMENT <br /> COMPANY' <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Baker to amend the ordinance by eliminating Vermont Avenue from the <br />ordinance was lost, and by the foltowing~ vote% <br /> <br /> <br />
