<br /> 57-426 - "I am reporting on a traffic condition at the inzersection of Madison and
<br />Seventh Streets. Councilman Baker called this to my attention and I have had a survey made and the Police De -
<br />partment has reported on the number of children crossing this intersgction going ~o and from Thomas Jefferson
<br />School. I recommend that a traffic guard be employed to handle the school children traffic az this intersec-
<br />tion for the remainder of this school year. Due zo vacancies) in the Police Depertmenn, sufficient funds are
<br />available for ~his purpose without an additional appropriation.
<br />
<br />The Council requested that this matter be handled by the City Manager.
<br />
<br /> 57-427 - "It is in order that you consider the con~racz to purchase the Seaboard Air-
<br />line Railroad Company property generally referred ~o as the waterfront propeEzy. Contracts have been prepared
<br />and approved by the legal departments of the Seaboard and the City and I recommend that the Mayor be authorized
<br />and directed to execute the contract for and on behalf of the City and that the City Clerk attest the same and
<br />affix the city seal thereto."
