June 24th, [958. <br /> <br /> Inclosed are receipts.No. 23188 and No~ 23248 which are evidence that he paid these <br />taxes. Since he did pay them through error, we sincerely request that a refund in the amount of $12.30 be made <br />to Percell 0 Newby. Please forward receipts to A.E. Parker, City Collector, in order for him to re-bill the <br />correct person." <br /> <br />Motion of Nit. Scott that the refund be approved on first reading, was adopted. <br /> <br />read: <br /> <br />58-202 - The following letter frcmthe Manager of -the Portsmouth Gardens, Inc. was <br /> <br /> "The people of Portsmouth. Gardens Apamtmen~s are seeking relief ~rom the 'No Parking' <br />signs that have been put up recently in front of their apartments, from 3400 Glasgow ~t~. to 3520 Glasgow St. <br />These people have no place to park their cars but Lawrence~ Circle and as a general ru/e, every available space <br />is taken by the people living on Lawrence Circle. Therefore, the.people on Glasgow St. have come up on the <br />lawns, which we can not permit, if we expect tot keep our lawns pretty. <br /> In ihe 2600 block of Glasgow St., where traffic is very congested, the 'No Parking' <br />signs were not put there.
