<br /> 59-g5 - '~r. W.J. Arnett, a former Policeman, has requested a refund of his pension
<br />contributions under the former Fire and Police Retirement Fund. The ~nount due Mr. Arnett is $35.78. I recommend
<br />that this refund be granted and that an appropriation in this amount be authorized.

<br />Motion of Mr. Walker to appropriate ~35.78 for said p~rpose was adopted, ~thout dis -

<br />senting vote.

<br /> 59-36 - "The assessors for the City will not finish their work until February 2$th,
<br />1959. This creates a problem in the .office of the Commissioner of Revenue as it gives him a very limited time to
<br />complete the land book; therefore, it will be necessa~ to employ additional temporary help in his office.
<br /> ~e has requested from the State Compensation Board an additional allowance
<br />o£ $2,400.00 for extra help. The Compensation Board has approved this request, eubjec~ to concurrence by the Cil
<br />Council. I recommend that the City Council approve this request."
