A special City Council meeting was <br /> called February 6, 1960 to act upon said petitions. At this specis! session on February6., 1960, considerable <br /> comment was voiced by some councilmen as to ~no fur~ished the p~i~on~ advo~atin~ the elimination of Council- <br /> manic primaries. One councilman stated that Mayor Raker had instituted the move for the referendum.
