60-73 - The following letter from J.T. Allen, ~18 Lincoln ~St. was read:

"I would sugges~ ~that you all would make a real good study on granting increased bus
fares to the P.T.C. ye~ a while for the service we are getting;mow are worse than it has been in fifty year~
This I know is true so what I. think they should first do iS to give Some better service for every increase
they have got in the past..Why the service has gotten worse for there is no need for a person to have ~o wait
from one hour to an hour and a half for a bus; so I am about like a lot more taxpayers of Portsmouth. I think ye
all had better consider this for if you all don't, why there might he some new faces on the Council in ~he next
round and I am quite sure there will be if this is not considered, for the taxpayers of Portsmouth has got tired
of being double crossed for I have spoken the words of many of Portsmouth taxpayers for as I have said hefore an~
will say it agsmn it looks as the P T C wants all for as little service_ they can g~ive. I think somebody had
better get b~sy and do something ~d consider the ~axpayers ofPor tsmouth before it is too late. I am sen~ing
the Ledge~ Star ~ copy of this, so please give this your consideration before it is too late.'(Signed~J.T.Alle~
