* 28;-1 <br /> December 9, 1997 <br /> <br />b) CA-97,10 - ClTYWIDE , Code Amendment to amend the Zoning Ordinance <br /> pertaining to the approval of a map containing sites pre-approved <br /> for the installation of communication towers as per Section 40- <br /> 43.4(59A). (PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED <br /> APPROVAL) <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Martin, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, to concur with the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commiss on that CA-97-10 be approved on <br />first reading, and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />c) CA-97-11 - ClTYWIDE - Proposal to amend the Zoning Ordinance <br /> pertaining to bed and breakfast facilities in the Port Norfolk <br /> Historic District Section 40-52.1 and 40-52.7 of the City Code. <br /> (PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL) <br /> <br />Madalyn Morris-Grimes, 108 Florida Avenue, spoke in support of the code <br />amendment. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Berm, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, to concur with the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission that CA-97-11 be approved on <br />first reading, and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />- UNFINISHED BUSINESS - <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Robinett, and seConded by Mr. Berm, to adopt the following <br />ordinance, and Was adOPted by the following vote: <br /> <br />97-264 (a): <br /> <br />"ZONING AMENDMENT ORDINANCE Z-97-12" <br /> <br />Ayes: Benn, Clemons, Griffin, Pitts, Robinett, Holley <br />NaYs: None <br />Abstained: Martin's law firm represents the applicant. <br /> <br /> - CITY MANAGER'S REPORT - <br /> <br />97-324 - Adoption of two ordinances related to City Park and Bide-A-Wee Golf <br /> Courses. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Adoption of an ordinance to amend Chapter 25, Section 25,148, to allow the <br />CitY Manager, or his designee, to set the golf fees rather than having them <br />fixed in the City Code. <br /> <br />· Adoption of an ordinance to appropriate $7,425,000 to complete the Bide-A. <br /> Wee GOlf Course renovations. <br /> <br />Pur ose and Need: <br /> <br />· The City Park and Bide-A-Wee Golf Courses are undergoing extensive <br /> renovations. <br /> <br />Golf fees for City Park and Bide-A-Wee need to be ~adjusted to reflect <br />competitive rates with area courses of similar quality. These changes will <br />allow the City Manager, or his designee, to set these rates, rather than <br />having them fixed in the City Code. <br /> <br /> <br />
