City Councit to close portions of Fort Lane and Jackson St% in the City of Portsmouth and an ordinance to thatenhe
effect was passed on the fifth reading. Before the City Ordinance was passed the question was raised as to
the removal of certain utilities now on the streets to he closed;
For some time the architects and engineers for Portsmouth General Hospital have .
working on plans to relocate these utilities and have had meetings with the engineers for the City, for the Virgi-
agreeable with all pa~ties concerned.
