<br />of a small parcel of city-owned land on Bainbridge Ave. This job of property is-the result of a recent street

<br />"WHEREAS, the United States Junior Chamber of Commerce has selected
<br />Doctor Mac Carter Adams as one of,the ~ten outstanding young men of
<br />America for the~Dar 1960, said honor having been richly deserved in
<br />recognition of DOctorAdams': work in the successful solution of the
<br />~t~Co~iine~tal ballistic missiDe re-entry problem; and
<br /> WHEREAS, Doctor Mac Carter Adams is a native of the City of Ports-
<br />mouth, having gruddated from Woodrow Wilson High School as an honor
<br />student with an out,tending record' in extra-curricula activities,
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Ports-
<br />mouth, virginia, that congratulations and best wishes for continued
<br />success are hereby expressed and extended in behalf of the citizens of
<br />this City zo Doetor Mac Carter Adams upon his having been selected as
<br />one of the ~en outstanding young men for the year 1960.
