<br />mouth. This is for a four year Term beginning Jsnuary 1st, 1962."

<br /> Motion of Mr. Barnes to go into the election of a High Constable for the City of Ports-
<br />mouth was adopted, without dissenting vote.
<br />
<br />Mr. Barnes nominated C. L. Cain.
<br />
<br /> There being no other nominations, Mr. Cain was unanimously elected High Constable for the
<br />City of Portsmouth for a Term of four years, beginning January 1st, 1962.
<br />
<br /> 61-323 - "It is in order at this time to elect a Library Board for the operation of the
<br />proposed new Library. Three members will be elected for a term of three years, three for a term of two years, and
<br />three for a one year ~m, effective December 1, 1961."
<br />
<br />Motion of Mr. Barnes to go into the election of the Library Board was adopted, without
<br />
<br />dissenting vote.
<br />
<br />Mr. Barnes nominated the following for a three-year term:

<br /> Vote being taken, Mrs. Green, Mr. Lawrence and Mrs. Stewart were unanimously elected mem-
<br />bers of the Portsmouth Library Board for a term of ~wo years.

<br />Mr. Dillon nominated the following for a one-year term:

<br />Mrs. William R. Bruce

<br /> Vote being taken, Mrs. Watts, Dr. Long and Mrs. Bruce were unanimously elected members of
<br />the Portsmouth Library Board for a one-year term.
<br />
<br /> 61-324 - "I submit the attached resolution and recommend its adoption. This changes the
<br />bus route of the Westhaven line by routing the bus down King Street to Powhatan Avenue Eo County Street to Chester-
<br />field Avenue to Race Street. This route is approved by the Community Motor Bus Company."
<br />
<br />On motion of Mr. Barnes, the following resolution was adopted, without dissenting vote:
<br />
<br />"WHEREAS, by resolution adopted September 12, 1961, routes and
<br />headways were designated for intra-urban buses pursuanz to Section
<br />16-9 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1951, as
<br />amended; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, it is desired that the Westhaven-Waterview rout~ be
<br />revised.
<br />
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
<br />Port~mouth, Virgin~s, that from and after 2:00 A.M., December 3,
<br />1961, the section of the aforesaid resolution entitled 'Route 11.
<br />Westhaven-Waterview' is amended to read as follows:
