December 26th, 1961 Section 3.154 On bus line know~ as 14 headways will be.every seventy minutes from 6:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M., with no service after 7:00 P.M. or on Sundays or holidays. Section 3.16. On bus line known as 15 headways will be every twenty-five minutes from 5:10 A.M. to 9:00 P.M., and from 9:00 P.M. To 12:05 A.M., and on Sundays and holidays every sixty minutes. Section 3.17. On bus line known as 16 headways will be every ~weu~y-five minutes from 5:15 A.M. to 7:00 P.M., and from 7:00 P.M. To 12:25 A.M., and on Sundays and holidays every sixty minutes. Section 3.18. On bus line known ss 17 headways will be every twenty minutes from 5:00 A.M. to 9:30 A.M., every forty minutes from 9:30 A.M. To 3:00 P.M., from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. every twenty minutes, from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. every forty minufes, from 9:00 P.M. to 12:45 A.M. every sixty minutes, and every sixty minutes on Sundays and' holidays." 61-352 "I recommend that I be authorize~ to proceed with employing an architect and advertising for bids for the construction of a new community building in Cradock. This is requested to replace theTbuilding to be demolished with the construction of the new Post Office." Motion of Mr. Leary to,concur in the recormnendation of the City Manager was adopted: without dissenting vote. UNFINISHED BUSINESS taken up and read: 61-334 - The following ordinance, approved on first reading at last regular meeting was "AN ORDINANCE TO ~PPROPRIATE $10,000.00 FROM THE GENERJ_L CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR THE PLRIPOSE OF DEFRAYING EXPENSES OF THE ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS AUTHORIZED BY THE ORDINANCE ADOPTED DECEMBER 9, 1961." On motion of Mri Barnes, the ordinance was adopted, and by the following vote: Ayes: Smith, Barnes, Atkinson, Dillon, Leary, Walker Nays: None County fo~ taken up. 61-335 - An appropriation of $250,000.00 from Capital Improvement Fund no pay Norfolk loss of revenue under the annexation d'ecree, approved on first reading at last regular meeting, was lng vote: On motion of Mr. Leary, $250,000.00 was appropriated for said purpose, and by the follow - Ayes: Smith, Barnes, Atkinson, Dillon, Leary~ Walker Nays: None taken up and read: 61-336 - The following ordinance, approved on first reading at last regular meeting, was "AN ORDINANCE REQUESTING THAT THE GENERAL ASM~EMBLY AMEND CIIAPTEH IV AND CHAPTER XII OF TI{E CHARTER OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, BY AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS THEREOF AND ADDING CERTAIN NEW SECTIONS THERETO, IN THE MANNER THEREIN DESCRIBED" Motion of Mr. Leary that the ordinance be adopted. Motion of Mr. Walker to amend the motion in view of the wide range of subjects in this package ordinance and that the Council consider separately each proposed amendment of the Charter. vote: Motion of Mr. Walker to reconsider the previous motion was adopted, and by the following Ayes: Smith, Barnes, Atkinson , Dillon, Leafy, Walker Nays: None Motion of Mr. Walker to amend the ordinance by striking out Chapter IV Section 53 a was lost, there being no second. On motion of Mr. Atkinson, the ordinance was adopted, and by the following vote: Ayes: Smith, Barnes, Atkinson, Dillon, Leary Nays: Walker Board was adopted. 61-337 - Motion of Mr. Barnes to go into the election of a member to the Minimum Housin Mr. Barnes nominated Leo V. Shocklin. On motion of Mr. Leafy, nominations were closed. Vote being taken, Mr. Shocklin was elected a member of the Minimum Housing Board for a period of four years beginning January 1st, 1962. 61-337.1- Motion of Mr. Barnes to go into the election of a member of the Portsmouth Port Commission was adopted.
