February 8.. 1998 At a Called Meeting of the City Coun~:il on Sunday, February 8, 1998, there were present: Mayor James W. Holley III, Vice Mayor Johnny M. Cle'mons, Bernard D. Griffin, Sr., Cameron C. Pitts, James T. Martin, P. Ward Robinett, Jr., J. Thomas Benn III, City Manager Ronald W.~Massie, Debra Y. White, City. Clerk. ~ 98 - 25 - The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held at the Williamsburg Hospitality House, 415 Richmond Road, Williamsburg, Virginia, on Sunday, February 8, 1998 at 8:15 p.m., on Monday, February 9, 1998 at 8:00 a.m., and on Tuesday, February 10, 1998 at 9.'00 a.m. for the purpose of a City Council Retreat. In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an Executive Session. By order of the Mayor." Motion by Mr. Clemons, and seconded by Mr. Griffin, [o go into Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia, to discuss or consider the following matters: (1) Discussion of the performance of specified public officers, appointees or employees of the City, as permitted by Subsection (A)(I). The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. Motion by Mr. Robinett, and seconded by Mr. Martin, pursuant to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council Member's knowledge during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: (1) Only public business matters [awfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and (2) Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the Executive Session was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council.
