February 27th, 1962 62-3 lng, was taken up and read: The following zoning amendment ordinance, approved on first reading "ZONING AMENDMENT ORDINANCE 1961-11-A" On motion of Mr. Leafy, said ordinance was adopted, and by the following vote: 62-3 lng, was taken up and read: Ayes: Smith, Atkinson, Barnes, Dillon, Knight, Leafy, Walker Nays: None. The following zoning amendment ordinance, approved on first reading at last meen- "ZONING _a~MENDMENT ORDINANCE 1961-ii-B" On motion of Mr. Atkinson, the ordinance was adopted, and by the following vote: Ayes: Smith, Afkinson, Barnes, Dillon, Knight,. Leafy, Walker Nays: None. NEW BUSINESS 62-42 - The following letter from the Wesb Side Civic League was read: "This league wishes to express appreciation To fhose who made it possible for citizens to purchase city automobile license plates in Mid-City Shopping Center. It is hoped that this convenient service will be made available each year. Signed: Louis R. Keller, Corresponding Secretary." Motion of Mr. Barnes that the letter be receive~ with thanks was adopted, without dissent- 62-43 - The report of the Auditor of Public Accounts on the office of the City Treasurer for the fiscal year ended June 30th, 1961 was presented and on motion of Mr. Barnes, received and filed. 62-44 - Motion of Mr. Leafy 5o go into the.election of a Vice President of the City Council mae adopted, without dissenting vote. Mr. Dillon nominated Mr, Mr. Walker nominated L. L. Knight. which Mr. Knight declined and seconded the nomination of Mr. Barnes. On motion of Mr. Lesry~ nominations were closed. Vote being taken, Mr. Barnes was unanimously elected Vice President of the City Council, term expires June 30th, 1962. 62-45 - Mr. Walker made an inquiry as to the status of the new Municipal Code. A conference of the Council was se~ for Tuesday, March 7th, ~t 7:30 P.M. ~o consider the draft of the new Code. 62-46 - Motion of Mr. Walker five ~o House Bill 513 was lost, there being no second.
