Leafy, Walker <br /> Nays: None. <br /> <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br /> 62-42 - The following letter from the Wesb Side Civic League was read: <br /> <br /> "This league wishes to express appreciation To fhose who made it possible for <br />citizens to purchase city automobile license plates in Mid-City Shopping Center. It is hoped that this convenient <br />service will be made available each year. Signed: Louis R. Keller, Corresponding Secretary." <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Barnes that the letter be receive~ with thanks was adopted, without dissent- <br /> <br /> 62-43 - The report of the Auditor of Public Accounts on the office of the City Treasurer <br />for the fiscal year ended June 30th, 1961 was presented and on motion of Mr. Barnes, received and filed. <br /> <br /> 62-44 - Motion of Mr. Leafy 5o go into the.election of a Vice President of the City <br /> <br />Council mae adopted, <br /> <br />without dissenting vote. <br /> Mr. Dillon nominated Mr, <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker nominated L. <br /> <br />L. Knight. <br /> <br />which <br /> <br /> Mr. Knight declined and seconded the nomination of Mr. Barnes. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Lesry~ nominations were closed. <br /> <br /> Vote being taken, Mr. Barnes was unanimously elected Vice President of the City Council, <br />term expires June 30th, 1962. <br /> <br /> 62-45 - Mr. Walker made an inquiry as to the status of the new Municipal Code. <br /> <br /> A conference of the Council was se~ for Tuesday, March 7th, ~t 7:30 P.M. ~o consider the <br /> <br />draft of the new Code. <br /> <br /> 62-46 - Motion of Mr. Walker <br />five ~o House Bill 513 was lost, there being no second. <br /> <br /> On motion adjourned. <br /> <br />place on the agenda for this meeting a resolution rela- <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br /> President. <br /> <br />City Clerk. <br /> <br /> <br />
