Norcom High School <br />Glenn Hazelwood <br />Myoshi Lawrence <br />Brian borne <br /> <br />Wilson High School <br />Brook Smith <br />Rebekah Jarman <br />Christina Lewis <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Clemons, and seconded by Mr. Robinett, to close the <br />nominations, and there being no further nominations, the above nominations <br />were adopted by unanimous vote. ~ <br /> <br />98-41 - Items Submitted by City CoUncil <br /> <br />· Mr. Benn spoke on the Armed Forces Breakfast and results of efforts by the <br /> Military Affairs Committee. <br /> <br />· Mr. Pitts spoke on the upcoming Summit for Youth scheduled for March 5, <br /> 1998 at 4:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber. <br /> <br />98-42 - Non-Agenda SPeakers: <br /> <br />Helen Person, 1314 Green Street, expressed concern for the Residential <br />Manager at Washington Park, violation of privacy of welfare recipients <br />and public housing residents, and lead contamination. <br /> <br />Raleigh Harsley, 2124 Peach Street, spoke regarding Gosport Auto <br />located at corner of Portsmouth and Frederick Boulevards and Chicago <br />Avenue turning into a junk yard. <br /> <br />= <br /> <br />William E. Copeland, 2107 Staunton Avenue, opposed to ordinance <br />approved for collecting unpaid utility bills, and commented on the delay <br />in installation of sidewalks around the schools that he brought before <br />Council in September. <br /> <br />On motion, the meeting adjourned at 8:15 p.m. <br /> <br />Minutes prepared by: <br /> <br />Debbie K.
