Februa~ 24. 1998 <br /> <br /> At a Called Meeting of the City Council on Tues. day, February 24, 1998, there <br />were present: <br /> <br /> *Mayor James W. Holley III, Vice Mayor Johnny M. Clemons, *Bernard D. Griffin, <br />Sr., Cameron C. Pitts, James T. Martin, J. Thomas Benn III, Deputy City Manager H. <br />Timothy Little, City Attorney G. Timothy Oksman. - ....... <br /> <br />98- 32 - The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the City <br />Manager's Conference Room, 801 Crawford Street, 6th floor, 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, <br />February 24, 1998, for the purpose of a Public Work Session. <br /> <br />In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an Executive Session. <br /> <br />By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br />98 - 33 The following items were discussed in Public Work Session: <br /> <br />1. SPSA <br />2. Pinners Point Connector <br />3. Vision 2005 - Midtown <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Martin, to go into Executive Session <br />pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia to discuss or <br />consider the following matters: <br /> <br />1. Discussion of the performance of specific public officers, appointees or <br /> employees of the City, as permitted by subsection (A)(I). <br /> <br />2. The condition or use of real property in the downtown area for a public <br /> purpose, or the disposition of publicly held property, as permitted by <br /> Subsection (A)(3). <br /> <br />Motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Martin, pursuant to Section 2.1-344.1 <br />of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council Member's ~nowied~e <br />during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: <br /> <br />1. Only public buSiness matters lawfully exempted from open meeting <br /> requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and <br /> <br />2. Only such publiC business matters as were identified in the motion by <br /> Which the ExeCutive Session was convened, were heard; discussed or <br /> considered in the meeting by the City Council. <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />On motion, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />Minutes prepared by: <br /> <br />Debbie K.
