This fixes the sale <br />price of the new Portsmouth City Code of 1961, also lists the officials to receive the Code and provides for <br />supplements." <br /> On motion of Mr. Atkinson, the following resolution was adopted, without dissenting yore: <br /> <br /> "WHEREAS, the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1961, has been adopted and published <br />in loose leaf form; and <br /> WHEREAS, provisions should be made for sale thereof to the public~ the printing and sale <br />of supplements as warranted, and the furnishing of cop~es thereof to the officials and employees of the City <br />whose duties require frequent reference thereto. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that: <br /> <br /> 1. The Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1961, shall be sold for the cash price <br />of $25.00. Any person desiring ~o purchase s copy thereof shall pay the sum of $~C~. 0 to the City Treasurer, who <br />shall issue a receipt evidencing such payment. Such receipt shall then be presented to the City qlerk, who shall <br />deliver 8 ~opy of the Code to the purchaser, after recording in a bound book the number of the Code, the receipt <br />number, the date of sale, and the name and address of the purchaser. <br /> 2. A~i ~opies of the Code shall be numbered c~.~5~cut~__v~ly beginning with the number 1, and <br />such copies thereof as are furnished to officials and employees of the City as hereinafter provided shall be <br />appropriately marked as being property of the City, and th~ City Clerk shall record in the aforesaid bound book <br />the offices and persons to whom they are furnished. <br /> 3. Whenever in the judgment of the City Manager there have been sufficient amendments <br />enacted to said COdm-that printing of supplemental pages is warranted, he shall cause the same to b~ done. When <br />such supplements are available for sale, the City Clerk shall give notice of that fact by mail to all purchasers <br />of the Code. The City Manager shall establish a sales price for each such supplement, apportioning as near as <br /> <br /> <br />
