Johnson, Jr., as e~-officio member of the Commission. ~ <br /> <br />On motion of Mr. Leery, nominations were closed. <br /> <br />Vot~ being taken, Mr. Johnson was unanimously elected ex-officio me~ber of <br />Mr. Atkinson nominated C. L. Overton for a one year term. <br /> <br />On motion of Mr. Knight nominations were closed. <br /> <br />budget, which were, <br /> <br /> Vote being taken, Mr. Crawford and Mr. Overton were elected to the Planning Commission <br /> <br /> 62-291 - The Clerk presented eight petitions regarding the fiscal year and the City <br />on motion of Mr. Dillon, referred to a conference of the Council. <br /> <br />62-292 - The following communication from the School Board was read: <br /> <br /> "I am requesting an appropriation of sir thousand dollars ($6,000.00) for the Robert E. <br />Lee and Riddick Weaver School pro3ec~s. The rema'inder of the appropriation will be requested after bids are <br />taken on the 5wo buildings. <br /> If at all possible, I would like go have this amount before January 1, 1963 in order that <br />the architect may be paid.." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Knight, an appropriation of $6,000.00 from the Capital Improvemenn Fund <br />for said purpose was approved on.first reading, without dissensing vote. <br /> <br /> 62-293 - A request from the Commissioner of Revenue for a refund of $96.25 To Harrison's <br />Moving and Storage Company for an erroneous assessment of taxes was presented, and on mo~ion of Mr. Barnes, the <br />refund was approved on first reading. <br /> <br /> 62-29R - A request from the Commissioner of Revenue for a refund of $14.30 uo David E. <br />Zwerner for an erroneous assessmea5 of 5axes was presented, and on motion of Mr. Eastes, the refund was approved <br />on first readiqg. <br /> <br /> 62-295 - Mr. Barnes suggested that the City Attorney look into the question of vehicles <br />going around school buses when they are loading and unloading students, and requested that the City Attorney <br />report bsck to the Council. <br /> <br />On motion adjourned. <br /> <br />Approved - <br /> <br />President <br /> <br /> <br />
