<br />ORDINANCE OF TEE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, 1960, TO IMPOSE A LICENSE TAX
<br />ON THE AGENTS AND ATTORNEYS-IN-FACT OF PROFESSIONAL BONDSMEN."

<br />On motion of Mr. Dillon, the ordinance was adopted, and by the following vote:
<br />
<br />Ayes: Smith, Atkinson, Barnes, Dillon~ Eastes, Knight, Leafy.
<br />Nays: None
<br />

<br />On motion of Mr. Leafy, rules were suspended to hear A. P. Loudon of Loudon Amusements.
<br />
<br />Mr. Loudon spoke in regard to the ordinance.
<br />
<br />The Manager read excerpts from a letter from the Commissioner of Revenue.

<br /> Motion of Mr. Atkinson re refer to s conference of the Council for further study, was

<br />Motion of Mr. Dillon to adopt the ordinance.

<br />On motion of Mr. Barnes, the following amendment was adopted and by the following vole:

<br /> "Motion that the ordinance be amended so as to reserve unto the City the perpetual easement,
<br />right and privilege in and To the northerly 12 feet of the area so closed and vacated re maintain, operate and
<br />replace the 15 inch concreEe storm drain and cast iron drop inlet located therein.
<br />

<br />terms, expiring December 1st. 1965:

<br /> Mrs. Otis B. Watts, Dr. Alvin P. Long, Mrs. William R Bruce.

<br /> - Motion of Mr. Eastes ye approve the proposed agreement with the Southeastern
<br />Regional Planning Commission and to go into the election of members to the Planning Commission, was adopted,
<br />withoul dissenting vote.
