<br /> Motion by Mr. Benn, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, to adopt the following resolution,
<br />and was adopted by the following vote:
<br />
<br />"A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A DEED OF
<br />CONVEYANCE FROM THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH TO THE INDUSTRIAL
<br />DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, FOR
<br />THE PROPERTIES KNOWN AS 146 OWEN STREET, 3811 BART STREET, 1.29
<br />ACRES ON FREDERICK BOULEVARD AND 2301 PORTSMOUTH BOULEVARD, IN
<br />THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA.
<br />
<br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the
<br />City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to the
<br />Industrial Development Authority of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, "the Authority," for
<br />all or so much of the following described property, as he deems to be in the best interest
<br />of the City at such time as he may deem appropriate:
<br />
<br />146 Owen Street - 1 acre, more or less. TAX MAP 0052 Parcel 0590
<br />
<br />3811 Bart Street - .75 acres, more or less. TAX MAP 0305-0251
<br />
<br />Frederick Boulevard - 1.29 acres, more or less. TAX MAP 0133 Parcel 0120
<br />
<br />2301 Portsmouth Boulevard - 1 acre, more or less. Part of TAX MAP 0151
<br />Parcel 0030 and Parcel 0040, described as follows, to-wit: Beginning at a point at
<br />the southwestern intersection of Portsmouth Boulevard and Fitzgerald Street and
<br />continuing along the right of way line of Fitzgerald Street in a southerly direction
<br />to a point approximately 260 feet, more or less, where the southern right of way
<br />line of Fitzgerald Street, if continued in a westerly direction, would intersect the
<br />western right of way line of Fitzgerald Street; thence in an westerly direction
<br />parallel with Portsmouth Boulevard a distance of 200 feet; thence continuing in a
<br />northerly direction parallel with Fitzgerald Street approximately 260 feet, more or
<br />less, to a point in the southern right of way line of Portsmouth Boulevard; thence
<br />in an easterly direction along the southern right of way line of Portsmouth
<br />Boulevard 200 feet, to the point of beginning.

<br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to
<br />execute such deeds, plats and other documents necessary to effect the conveyance of
<br />property herein authorized between the City and the Authority as may be required, and
<br />to require such deeds and documents to contain such other provisions as he may deem
<br />appropriate and in the best interest of the City of Portsmouth."
