It was f~hnd that radio ca~s eove~ed this street IS~ times or better than <br />once every hour on a twenty-four hour basis~ <br /> In addition to the above regnlar p~trol, a.special patrol was established on this street during <br />the week, as weli ~s'~iih. moiO~i~le' o~'i~e~,~"~et~n'~he h~u~:s:~i 17i0~ A~ M.' and~"9::o0 ~'M[ aud'3~00 P. I have been <br />advised that this street is now properly marked with regard to speed limits signs and 'No Through Trucks' szgns <br />in accordance with accepted standards. <br /> While we do not deny that there is speeding on Rodman Avenue, it is believed that it is of no <br />grea~er nor lesser degree than on many other streets in the city/ <br /> Please be assured that this s~reet will be give,call the attention possible along with the other <br />streets in the city." <br /> <br /> ~otion of Mr. B~rnes'to receive the repor~ as information and that the surveillance be continued, <br />was adopted, without dissenting vote. <br /> <br /> 63-215-'!I submit the attached agreement between the Norfolk and Western Railroad and the City of <br />Portsmouth and recommend that the proper city officials be authorized to sign. <br /> This is with reference ~o ~ke new water line being constructed gozng under the Nerfolk and Western <br />tracks on Constance ~oad in th~ City of Snffolk." <br /> <br /> Motion Of Mr. Barnes that the proper city-officials be authorized to sign the agreement was adopted, <br />without dissenting vo~e. <br /> <br /> 63-216 -'~ids were opened on September 4, 1963, for the purchase of-a 100 foo:t aeria~ ladder for <br />the fire department.
