<br /> practically doubled and it is considered that an inqresse over last year's rate of 50~

<br /> that the.program for-last year cos~ less than ~he amount appropriated and it is
<br /> expected that th~ same good management 1mi the city's~funds would again be employed this

<br />A Citizens Advisory Committee was apppi~ted by ~'e Mayor to give general superviszon to
<br />the Director a~d in~ure that the yarious work .operatioss ~a~d manner zn which they were
<br />performed were in keeping with the objective of conducting a program that complemented
<br />Portsmouth's city government and st the same time helped _make portsmouth a better place
<br />in which ~o live, both from a standpoint of Dit~ beauty and civic pride on the pa~s QT,~
