Griffin, Sr., <br />Cameron C. Pitts, James T. Martin, *P. Ward Robinett, J. Thomas Benn III, City Manager Ronald <br />W. Massie, City Attorney G. Timothy Oksman. <br /> <br />98-.~.- - The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the City Manager's <br />Conference ROom, 801 Crawford Street, 6th floor, 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 14, ~1998, for the <br />purpose of a Public Work Session. <br /> <br /> In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an Executive Session. <br /> <br /> By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br />98~3? The following items were discussed in Public Work Session: <br /> <br /> 1. Children's Museum of Virginia Update, Phase II <br /> 2. Budget Follow-up <br /> 3. Vehicles for Hire - Code Amendment <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Martin, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, to go into Executive Session pursuant <br />to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia, for discussion or consideration of the <br />following: <br /> <br />Discussion or consideration of the condition, acquisition, or use of real property in <br />the downtown section of the City for a public purpose, or the disposition of publicly <br />held property as permitted by Subsection (A)(3). <br /> <br />2. Personnel matters as permitted by Subsection (A)(6). <br /> <br />3. Legal matters as permitted by Subsection (A)(7). <br /> <br />Motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Martin, and seconded by Mr. Clemons, pursuant to Section 2.1-344.1 of <br />the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council Member's knowledge during the <br />immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: <br /> <br />1. Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements <br /> by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and <br /> <br />Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the <br />Executive Session was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the <br />meeting by the City Council. <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />On motion, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />Minutes prepared by: <br /> <br />Debbie K.
