Pitts, James T. Martin, *P. Ward Robinett, J. Thomas Benn III, City Manager Ronald W. Massie, City Attorney G. Timothy Oksman. 98-.~.- - The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the City Manager's Conference ROom, 801 Crawford Street, 6th floor, 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 14, ~1998, for the purpose of a Public Work Session. In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an Executive Session. By order of the Mayor." 98~3? The following items were discussed in Public Work Session: 1. Children's Museum of Virginia Update, Phase II 2. Budget Follow-up 3. Vehicles for Hire - Code Amendment Motion by Mr. Martin, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, to go into Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia, for discussion or consideration of the following: Discussion or consideration of the condition, acquisition, or use of real property in the downtown section of the City for a public purpose, or the disposition of publicly held property as permitted by Subsection (A)(3). 2. Personnel matters as permitted by Subsection (A)(6). 3. Legal matters as permitted by Subsection (A)(7). Motion was adopted by unanimous vote. Motion by Mr. Martin, and seconded by Mr. Clemons, pursuant to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council Member's knowledge during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: 1. Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the Executive Session was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council.
