<br />testing and inspecting weighing and measuring devices and enforcing the Virgini~-~ights and Measures Law in

<br /> 64-248 - "Bids were open on'Monday, September 14, 1964, for the sale of City owned property
<br />fronting 56 ½ feet on the easx side of Water Street, lying south of Glasgow Street.
<br /> One bid was received ink,he amount of $~0,011 from David I. Levine. It is necessary for Mr. Levine
<br />to acquire additional property in order ~o meet parking requirements in'connection with the construction of the
<br />new Citizens Trust B~ilding.
<br /> I recommend that this property be sold 5o Mr.~Levine for the above price."

<br /> Motion of Mr. tastes to concur in the recommendation of the City Manager was adopted without
<br />dissenting vote.

<br /> Mr Knigh~ nominated Mr. E. W. Lawrence to succeed himself as a member of the Board.

<br /> Vote being 'taken Mr. L~wrence was elected to the Portsmouth Supplemental Retirement Board, for a
<br />four year term expiring on September 30, 1968.
