<br /> 64-268 - The following communication from the Planning Commission was read, and on motion of Mr.
<br />Barnes, referred to the City Attorney:
<br />
<br /> "At its regular monthly meeting on October 6, 1964, the City Planning Commission unanimously
<br />resolved ~o recommend that a paper s~ree~ known as Drivers Lane, located between Dixie Avenue and Pullman Avenue,
<br />be ?zsc ated.
<br />
<br /> 64-269 - "At its regular monthly meeting on October 6, 1964, the City Planning Commission conducted
<br />~ public hearing on the following proposed amendment of the Zoning Ordinance text and recommends unanimously that
<br />the Ordinance be so amended:
<br /> "Thst a 'P' be placed under M--1 on Line ~258, 'Waste Paper and Rsgs, Collection and Baling~ on Page
<br /> 45.-
<br /> to refer to the City Attorney and
<br /> Motion of Mr. Barnes/that the City Clerk be authorized to advertise for public hearing was adopted,
<br />without dissenting vo~e.

<br /> 64-2gO - The following communication from the Planning Commission was read:
<br /> its regular monthly meeting on October 6, 1964, the City Planning Commission resolved unanimousl~
<br />to recommend that ~ strip of property aRproximately 60 feet by 195 feet, lying. 100 feet east of Washington Street
<br />between Crawford Parkway and the Harbor View Manor Ap'at,merits, adjacent to Swimming Point Wa~E, be declared
<br />surplus and sold-at public auction."

<br /> 64-271 - The following petition from residents of South Loxley Place was read:
<br />
<br /> "We, the undersigned, properzy owners and/or residents of South Loxley Place, located in the City
<br />of Portsmouth, do hereby respectfully petition the duly constituted City Council, of Portsmouth, Virginia, for
<br />immediate relief from fl~ding and poor drainage conditions in our section, especially the intersection of York
<br />and Kent Drives just East of Victory Boulevard:
<br /> H~ L. Hubbard, Jr. - 502 Kent Drive and numerous others."
