Aeri128; 1998 35 5 At a Called Meeting of the C ty Counci on Tuesday, Apr 128 1998, there were present: Mayor James W~ Holley III, Vice Mayor Johnny M. Clemens, *Bernard D. Griffin, Sr., *Cameron C. Pitts, James T; Martin, P. Ward Robfnett, J. Thomas Benn III, City Manager Ronald W. Massie, City Attorney G. Timothy Oksman. 98-93 The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the Council Chamber, 801 Crawford Street, 6th floor, 5:00 P.m., TueSday, April 28,'1998, for the purpose of a Public Work Session. In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an Executive Session. By order of the Mayor." 98-94 The following item was discussed in Public Work Session: Budget Follow-up Motion by Mr. Clemens, and seConded by Mr. Pitts, to go into ExecUtive Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia, for discussion or consideration of the following: Appointments by Council to committees, boards, or commissions, as permitted by SubseCtion (A)('I). Performance of council appointees, as Permitted by Subsection (A) (i). Condition, acquisition, or use of' real property, or the disposition of publicly held property as permitted by Subsection (A)(3), said property being in the Port Norfolk and south central areas of the City. 4. Consultation with legal counsel about pending litigation in federal court, as permitted by Subsection (A)(7). Motion was adopted by unanimous vote. Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Martin, pursuant to Section 2.1-344.1 Of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council Member's knowledge during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the Executive Session was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council.
