Aeri128; 1998 35 5 <br /> At a Called Meeting of the C ty Counci on Tuesday, Apr 128 1998, there were present: <br /> <br /> Mayor James W~ Holley III, Vice Mayor Johnny M. Clemens, *Bernard D. Griffin, Sr., <br />*Cameron C. Pitts, James T; Martin, P. Ward Robfnett, J. Thomas Benn III, City Manager Ronald <br />W. Massie, City Attorney G. Timothy Oksman. <br /> <br />98-93 The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the Council Chamber, <br />801 Crawford Street, 6th floor, 5:00 P.m., TueSday, April 28,'1998, for the purpose of a Public <br />Work Session. <br /> <br />In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an Executive Session. <br /> <br />By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br />98-94 The following item was discussed in Public Work Session: <br /> <br />Budget Follow-up <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Clemens, and seConded by Mr. Pitts, to go into ExecUtive Session <br />pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia, for discussion or <br />consideration of the following: <br /> <br />Appointments by Council to committees, boards, or commissions, as permitted by <br />SubseCtion (A)('I). <br /> <br />Performance of council appointees, as Permitted by Subsection (A) (i). <br /> <br />Condition, acquisition, or use of' real property, or the disposition of publicly held <br />property as permitted by Subsection (A)(3), said property being in the Port Norfolk <br />and south central areas of the City. <br /> <br />4. Consultation with legal counsel about pending litigation in federal court, as <br /> permitted by Subsection (A)(7). <br /> <br />Motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Martin, pursuant to Section 2.1-344.1 Of the <br />Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council Member's knowledge during the <br />immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: <br /> <br />Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements <br />by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and <br /> <br />Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the <br />Executive Session was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the <br />meeting by the City Council. <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />On motion, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />Minutes prepared by: <br /> <br />Debbie K.
