<br />Collinswood Civic League, was read, and on motion of Mr. Johnson, received as information:

<br /> "In reference to the recent twenty-five percent increase in the
<br />assessment value of the real estate in Portsmouth. It is our understanding that Mr. Johnson, our City
<br />Manag¢~, intends to recommend that Council adopt an ordinance initiating a one percent decrease in our
<br />present real estate tax, the purpose of which being to counterbalance the aforementioned real estate
<br />assessment increase. Gentlemen, the Collinswood Civic League would like to take this opportunity to
<br />express our support of the one percent tax reduction.
