Your approval of the use permit followed. <br /> Attorney John MacKenzie has placed before you a petition to accomplish <br />Street closure and realignment. This is to inform you that the proposal is entirely in keeping ~ith the <br />recommendations of the Planning Commission.~ <br /> <br />On motion of Mr. Barnes, referred to the City Attorney. <br /> <br />66-14 - The following letter from the Planning Director was read: <br /> <br /> "At its regular monthly meeting on January 4, 1966, the City Planning <br />Commission resolved to recommend the following three street closures: <br /> <br /> S-65-7 Loudoun Avenue, between Airline Boulevard and Race Street; subject <br />to provision of cul-de-sacs on C-T~r~'rd and Griffin Streets bY the applicant if/and/as/ determined <br />by the City Hngineer; and subject to retention of utility easements or utility relocation as recommended <br />by the Directors of Utilities and Fublic Works. ~ <br /> <br /> S-65-8 Detroit Street, between Virginia and Lee Avenues; subject to <br />retention of uti~i~ easements o-'~-~lity relocation as recommended by the Directors of Utilities and <br />Public Works. <br /> <br /> S-66-1 Keay Street and Jameson Street; Within the boundmries of that <br />tract of land to the west of Geor--~ashington Highway deeded to the City of Portsmouth by the United <br />States of America for public education and recreation usage; if ~ft is determined that in fact any <br />public street actually exists~ The Planning Commission found no record of any public Street and <br />believes that only access driveways to a former wartime emergency housing project are involved; in <br />which case the Portsmouth School Board is urged toproceed Without further delay on its improvement <br />program," <br /> <br /> <br />
