C. Mingis studying the possible sites withiff the city limits for
relocating a boat ramp, considerable thought and discussion was given during the time the coFmittee was
present and afterwards under "old business". It has been of even more concern to the Board since there
has been a growing number of reports that boaters have been turned away at the present boat ramp at
Pinners Point.
After discussing this matter at length, the Board concurred in an
recommendation from Mr. Mingis that the proper city a~thorities investigate the possibility of const~m*~n~
a boat ramp adjacent to the north side of the old C~ty Park bridge with a t~er being built along side
the bridge and, if feasible, immediate steps be taken to make this a reality.

At the same time the Board emphasized the fact that work should not be
discontinued on the proposed ramp in Scott's Creek Park, ntoing that in the not too distant future the
boating public in ou~ City will b~ in need of several launching facilities.

Y~ur cooperation in this matte~ will be greatly appreciated."

Mo~ion of Mr. Johnson that the matter be referred to the City Manager,
and that he submit a report at the next meeting of Council, was adopted, without dissenting vote.

On motion adjourned.

Approved -

President

City Clerk
