At a Called Meeting of the City Council on Tuesday, July 14, 1998, there were <br />present: <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Bernard D. Griffin,. Sr., Cameron C. Pitts, P. Ward Robinett, Jr., *J. Thomas <br />Berm III, William E. Moody, Jr., Charles B. Whitehurst, Sr.~..City Manager Ronald W. <br />Massie, City Attorney G. Timothy. Oksman. <br /> <br />98-159 The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the City <br />Manager's Conference Room, 801 Crawford Street, 6~h floor, 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, July <br />14, 1998, for the purpose of a Public Work Session. <br /> <br />In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an Executive Session. <br /> <br />By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br />98-160 The following items were discussed in Publi~Work Session: <br /> <br />1. Community Services Board <br />2. Six Year Urban Allocation Plan <br />3. Children's Museum Parking Garage <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Benn, to go into Executive Session <br />pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia, for discussion or <br />consideration of the following: <br /> <br />1. Discussion of appointments by Council to committees, boards, or <br /> commissions, as permitted by Subsection (A)(1). <br /> <br />Motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Pitt% and seconded by Mr. Robinett, pursuant to Section 2.1- <br />344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council Member's <br />knowledge during the immediately preceding Executive SesSion of the City CounCil: <br /> <br />1. Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting <br /> requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and <br /> <br />Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by <br />which the Executive Session was convened, were heard, discussed or <br />considered in the meeting by the City Council, <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />On motion, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />Minutes prepared by: <br /> <br /> 15bie K.
