OctoBer 24, 1967 <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. King to receive as information and that a letter be written to Mr. Carey thanking <br />him for his interest, was adopted, withoutd~tssentzng' vote. <br /> <br />67-316 - The following letter from Mrs. James S, Morse was read: <br /> <br /> "It is with sincere regret that I submit my resignation from the Board of Directors of the <br />Pol~csmouth Naval Shipyard Museum. <br /> A conflict of schedules makes it impossible for me to continue to take an active Dart in the <br />work of the Museum, or to attend meetings regularly. ' <br /> B~ association with the 5~secun has been extremely pleasant and I shall follow its progress <br />with a great deal of interest." <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Knight to receive with regret and that a latter be written Mrs. Morse thanking her <br /> for her service on the Board, was adopted, without dissenting vote. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr, Lear), to refer to a conference the question or,filling the vacancy on the board, <br />caused by the resignation of Mrs. 5Iorse, was adopted, without dissenting vote. <br /> <br /> 67-317 - The following letter from Carroll A, Mason, was read: <br /> <br /> "I wish to tender my resignation as a member of the PortsmouthCity Planning Commission. <br /> Needless to say, I have enjoyed my tenure on the Planning Commission and the association with <br />the men of the Commission. <br /> I feel that with my new position that it would not be in the best interest Of the City to <br />attempt to retain my seat on the Planning Commission. <br /> Again, my sincere appreciation for your having elected me to this position and my regrets <br />in having to relinquish my seat." <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Johnson to accept with regrets at the loss of a member of the Planning Con~nission who <br />has snent so many hours working with the Commission, was adopted. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Eastes to refer this vacancy to m~conference of Council, was adopted, ~itbout <br />dissenting vote. <br /> <br />On motion adjourned. <br /> <br />APPROVED - <br /> <br />President <br /> <br />City Cl~rk <br /> <br /> <br />
