Chamber of Commerce Urban Renewal Committee which offers what appears to be a very sound proposal
for improving housing as well as the establishment of a training program in skilled and semi-skilled
building trades for the city.
Mr. Levine is to be commended for hi's forthright approach where, of his o~u~ volition, he proposes
a program which will spare Portsmouth the embarrassment of our neighboring city's Rosemont Project.
Because imp}ementation of the plan offered can achieve so much in providing jobs~ training, and
development of a sense of dignity to so many unemployed and presently unemployable at such little
cost to the City, it is requested that you give every consideration to its adoption as soon as
possible."
