August 11. 1998 429 At a Called Meeting of the City Council on Tuesday, August 11, 1998, there were present: Mayor James W. Holley III, Vice Mayor Bernard D. Griffin, Sr., Cameron C. Pitts, *P. Ward Robinett, Jr., J. Thomas Benn III, *William E. Moody, Jr., Charles B. Whitehurst, Sr., City Manager Ronald W. Massie, City Attorney G. Timothy Oksman. 98-190 The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the City Manager's Conference Room, 801 Crawford Street, 6th floor, 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 11, 1998, for the purpose of a Public Work Session. In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an Executive Session. By order of the Mayor." 98-191 The following items were discussed in Public Work Session: 1. Behavioral Healthcare Services 2. Video Plan Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, to go into Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia, for discussion or consideration of the following: 1. Performance of specific public officers of the City, as permitted by Subsection (A)(I). The condition, acquisition or use of real property for a public purpose, said property being in the midtown area, as permitted by Subsection (A)(3). 3. Specific legal matters requiring the provision of legal advice by counsel, as permitted by Subsection (A)(7). Motion was adopted by unanimous vote. Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Robinett, pursuant to Section 344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council Member's knowledge dUring the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: Only public business matterS lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the .Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the Executive Session was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council.
