January 9, 1968 <br /> <br /> 68-12 - Privilege of the floor was granted Carey Bell, who spoke asking for the re-opening <br />of Race Street.. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Barnes, referred to the City ~anager. <br /> <br /> 68-13 - Request of C. B. Ru£fin, 919 Washington Street to speak. <br /> <br /> Mr. Ruffin not present. <br /> <br /> 68-14 - On motion, privilege of the floor was granted Andrew Jones, 2714 Magnolia Street, <br />(request made by Sam Shuler). Mr. Johes presented a petition regarding changing of the <br />name of Magnolia Street, which was referred to the meeting on February lSth. <br /> <br /> 68-1S - Motion of Mr. Johnson that the following dates for meetings be set, was <br />adopted, and the clerk was requested to notify the Chairmen of the respective boards: <br /> <br /> Planning Commission with Council - February 20th, 1968 <br /> Housing Authority with Council - March 19th, 1968 <br /> School Board with Council - April 16th, 1968 <br /> <br /> 68-16 - Motion of Mr. Barnes that the City Manager set up a meeting of the Council <br />with the Tax Study Commission as soon as possible, was adopted, without dissenting vote. <br /> <br /> On motion adjourned. <br /> <br />APPROVED - <br /> <br />President <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
