Reduce parcel located on northwest corner of Middle and K~ng Street by t~enty feet to make an <br /> additional pzrcel. <br />6. Parcel located on King Street between Crawford and Middle Street changed to Commercial from Off <br /> Street Loading. <br />7. Parcel located on King Street between Crawford and Middle Street designated as an alley changed to <br /> Commercial. <br /> <br /> These changes have been recommended by the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority.u <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Smith, the following resolution was adopted, w~tkout dissenting vote: <br /> <br /> "A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTh, V~RCIN~A,.AP?ROV1NG THE REDEVELOP~r2~W <br /> PLAN AS A~NDED BY AMENDMENW NO. 1~ CRAWFORD URBAN RENEMAL PROJECT ~0. VA R ~ 55~ <br /> <br /> ~MEREAS, by resolution adppted August 9, 1967, the Council of the City of Portsmouth approved a <br />Redevelopment Plan for the Crawford Urban Renewal Project, designated as Project VA R-S3. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Section ~ of the said Plan, it so provides that said Redevelopment <br />Plan may be amended by the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority with the consent of the City <br />Council; and <br /> <br />No. <br /> <br />~MEREAS, the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority in undertaking the execution of Project <br />VA R-SS has found it necessary to make minor changes to said Redevelopment Plan; and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIiE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. That said Redevelopment Plan, as amended, dated June, 1968, for the Project aforementioned, having <br /> been duly reviewed and considered, is hereby approved. <br /> <br />2. Attached hereto is a copy of the program map that is being pre- <br />sented to every dwelling unit within the area to be inspected in South Mount Hereon. <br /> <br /> The City Council will be kept advised as to the progress of this program in the interest of improving pub- <br />lic relations. This further includes an i~vitation to any group in the City torequest a speaker to discuss <br />this program. <br /> <br /> <br />
