December S. 1968

As long as this Barn, Chicken House amd Shed are allowed to re~ain in existence, many fine homes within
sight of these ugly structures would have to he sold at a great financial loss should any owner ever desire to
sell. ~

Most pa~ticularily and directly affected is the property located at 417 Mimosa Road. The agreement to
.purChase this lot and have a nice brick custom~uilt home hinged entirely on promises by both the builder,
Luther Turtle, re~resenting the Turtle ConstrUction Company, and the builder~' Agent, Leon M. Coppedge
was instrumental in setting u~ and closing the packg~e'deal), that these old ~aTM buildings would be removed
before our home was started, if w~ would he willing to s~gn the contract. '~fHESE PROMISES HAVE NEVER BEEN K~PT"~

Instead of creating more incentive to proppective home owners, therefore creating more tax dollars for our
City~ nothing is being done in this direction. Refusal to do anything about these most deplorable conditions,
can only result in loss to all concerned.

Signed: Louis E. Riggs and others.~
On motion of Mr. Holley~ referred to the CityManager for report ~ack to Codicil.
68-423 - The following report from the Co,unity Motor Bus Company was read:

"This letter is in complianCe with a letter dated November 27, 1968 w~ich we received from your assistant,
Mr~ H.
