February 2g. 1969 budget study conference. 69-70 - The following letter from the Portsmouth Council Parent-Teachers Association was read: "I am humbly requesting time on the agenda of your meeting Tuesday, February 25~h, for three of our leaders to speak briefly in regard to the current problems of our public school systenr,. Our representatives will be, -- Mr. Leo Antonucci, Mr. Frank Harte, and Mr. Solomon Carey. The PTA Council, comoosed of twenty-seven local Parent Teacher Association~ in its concern for the children and youth of our city, would appreciate your granting this request." Solomon Carey spoke. The Mayor thanked Mr. Carey for his information and stated that it would be considered in the Council's study of the school budget. 69-71 - The followinR letter from the Portsmouth Histerical Association was read: "On behalf of the Portsmouth Historical Association, I would like to present a report on the Court House, Portsmouth, Virginia, adooted at a meeting of the Association held on ~ebruary 20, 1969, at the meeting of the Council on Tuesday, February 25, 1969. As I have a report for each member of the Council, tke presentation will take a very short time. Thanking you for your consideration of the above request, I Motion of Mr. Eastes to thank the Historical Association for the information and refer the matter to a Council conference, and that the Association be advised, was adopted. 69-72 - The following letter from the City Clerk was read: "The foll~ing terms of office will expire on March lst, 1969: Board of Electrical Exam. iners - Sherman Ask~ Portsmouth Bond Commission - Vincent T.
