Dann, Lakeview Elementary School <br /> <br /> 69-86 - Report of the audit of the Public Accounts of the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, by <br />the State Auditor of Public Accounts, for the year ended June S0th, 1968, on motion of Mr. King was received <br />as information. <br /> <br />69-87 - The following letter from Lyte F. Reed, Chaimman, Tax Study Commission, was read: <br /> <br /> "In view of the great amount of publicity given to the usage of the old Court House property when the <br />new Civic Center is ready for oc'cupany, the Tax Study Commission felt the need to express its opinion. <br /> <br /> It was moved and seconded, ~That all Municipal Property at the Court House site, located on the North <br />IVest corner of iiigh and Queen Street be removed or razed~ and every ~ffort made to develop a tax revenue <br />producing development on this site~. <br /> <br />All members present, with one absent~e, voted 'aye' on thisquestion.' " <br /> <br />Motion of Mr. Turner to receive as information was adopted, without ~issenting vote. <br /> <br />69-88 - The following letter from Mrs. A. Stuart Bolling was read: <br /> <br /> "It has indeed been a privilege to have served as th~ Portsmouth representative on the Board of Trustees <br />of Patrick Henry Hospital for the Chronically Illin NewpOrt News. <br /> <br /> Unfortunately, the Virginia Coxmission for the Visually Handicapped of which I am a member has the same <br />time and day for its regular quarterly meetings as does the Patrick Henry Hospital Board and it i~ impossible <br />for me to serve on both effectively. <br /> <br /> It is with real regret that I submit my resignation to you as the Portsmouth representative on the Patrick <br />Henry Board. The hospital provides a profoundly important service in health care for the chronically ill in <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Smith to accept the resignation with regret and that a letter of thanks be sent Mrs. Boiling <br />for her services and to refer the vacancy to a conference, was adopted, without dissenting vote. <br /> <br />On motion adjourned.' <br /> <br />APPROVED - <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
