<br />linking Interstate:264 with .CrawfordStreet within the corporate limits of the City of Portsmouth, and have
<br />prepared plans for the same, designated as Crawford Street Connector, Project U000-124-101, which haye been
<br />approved for right of way; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, on April 10, 1969, the Virginia Department of ~Lighways did hold a public hearing on said plans
<br />as required by law; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the said project plans have now been submitted to the Council for its consideration.
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the plans for the
<br />Crawford Street Connector, Project U000-124-101, as presented at the aforesaid public hearing are hereby ap-
<br />proved as submitted."
<br />
<br /> 69-141 - ,I submit the attached resolution and recommend its adoption. This designates portions of the
<br />Crawford Street Connector as a limited access facility. The net effedt of this rem61ution prohibits any curb
<br />cuts between Washington Street and where the project connects with craWford Street."

<br /> WHEREAS, the Crawford Street Connector, Project U000-124-i01, R/W 201, has been designated as a limited
<br />access facility; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the plans for the said project have been approved by this body for acquisition of property and
<br />construction; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, it is necessary that the boundaries of the limited access areas be established.
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City Portsmouth that the Crawford Street Connector,
<br />Project U000-124-101, R/W 201, be and~he same is hereby designated a limited access facility as shown on the
<br />plans as presented at a ~ublic hearing by the Virginia Department of Highways and as approved by this body on
<br />May 13, 1969.

<br />been recommended by the Portsmouth Redevelopment Housing Authority as they have prospective developers for this
<br />property."
