OctOber 13 1998 Lewis Whitehead, 4415 County Street, commented on the City's method of street paving. He expressed concern over where the new overlay cuts into curb and streets have been torn up for three weeks before being paved. He indicated that the City needed a better plan on paving. Mariam Goldman, 3544 Kentucky Trail, Chesapeake, commented on her frustration in finding the Council Chamber. She is interested in selling her doll collection to the City. Motion by Mr. Robinett, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, to go into Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia, for discussion or consideration of the following: Condition, acquisition, or use of real property for a public purpose, as permitted by Subsection (A)(3), said property being in the Fairwood Homes, Downtown, and Pinner's Point areas of the City. Disposition of publicly held t3roperty, being the assets of Tidewater Rapid Transit and Peninsula Transportation, as permitted by Subsection (A)(3). 3. Specific legal matters requiring the provision of legal advice by counsel, as permitted by Subsection (A)(7). Motion Was adopted by unanimous vote. Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, pursuant.to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council Member's knowledge during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: 1. Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and 2. Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the Executive Session was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council.
