OctOber 13 1998 <br /> <br />Lewis Whitehead, 4415 County Street, commented on the City's method <br />of street paving. He expressed concern over where the new overlay <br />cuts into curb and streets have been torn up for three weeks before <br />being paved. He indicated that the City needed a better plan on paving. <br /> <br />Mariam Goldman, 3544 Kentucky Trail, Chesapeake, commented on her <br />frustration in finding the Council Chamber. She is interested in selling <br />her doll collection to the City. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Robinett, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, to go into Executive <br />Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia, for <br />discussion or consideration of the following: <br /> <br />Condition, acquisition, or use of real property for a public purpose, <br />as permitted by Subsection (A)(3), said property being in the <br />Fairwood Homes, Downtown, and Pinner's Point areas of the City. <br /> <br />Disposition of publicly held t3roperty, being the assets of Tidewater <br />Rapid Transit and Peninsula Transportation, as permitted by <br />Subsection (A)(3). <br /> <br />3. Specific legal matters requiring the provision of legal advice by <br /> counsel, as permitted by Subsection (A)(7). <br /> <br />Motion Was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, pursuant.to <br />Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the <br />Council Member's knowledge during the immediately preceding Executive <br />Session of the City Council: <br /> <br />1. Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting <br /> requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and <br /> <br />2. Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion <br /> by which the Executive Session was convened, were heard, <br /> discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council. <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> on motion, !meeting adjourned at 8:52 p.m. <br />Minutes prepared by: <br /> <br />Debbie K.
