There shall be appointed by the majority of all the members of <br />the City Council ten justices of the peace for the city at large who shall hold office for~ a term of four <br />years and until their successors are elected and qualified. The~terms pf t2~e '~sti, ces of t]~ie ~eace in <br />office on the effective date of this act shall expire on January. 1, 1973; their successors shaYl be <br />pointed for four year~te~commencing on January 1, 1973. /~ne judge of the municipal court shall exercis~ <br />general supervision and aclministrative power over the justices of the peace.
