<br /> WHEREAS, Tarza Corporation has ~ade application to vacate aad close the hereinafter
<br />portion of Mac Arthur Avenue gnd it appearing that not%cp~of::Che::applicatiou and request
<br />for the appointment of viewers was duly posted on January 16, 1970, on the bulletin board
<br />of the Court of Hustings for the City of Portsmouth, on the bulletin board of the Circuit
<br />Court of the City of Portsmouth, and on the bulletin board of the Municipal Court of the
<br />City of Portsmouth.

<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that

<br /> Mrs. May L. Galliford has requested the closing of Holly Avenue between Harding
<br />Street and Southern Drive; Lombardy Street, 272 feet north of the right-of-way line of
<br />Broadway Street and Southern Drive; Sunnyside Avenue, 272 feet north of Broadway Street
<br />and Southern Drive; and, Harding Street, 160 feet west of Channel Avenue and Holly Avenue.
<br />These closings are being requested in order that the property can be developed for industrial
<br />use. The Planning Commission has recommended approval of these street closings.

<br />Lombardy Street, lying between a line which is 272 feet north of the
<br />northern right-of-way line of Broadway Street and the §outhern right-
<br />of-way line of Southern Drive, as shown on the plat of Sunnyside Farms.
<br />
<br />Sunnyside Avenue, as said street lies between a point 272 feet north
<br />of the northern right-of,way line of Broadway Street, and the Southern
<br />right,of-way line of Southern Drive, as shown on the said plat of
<br />Sunnyside Farms.

<br />Harding Street (formerly Madison Street), lying between a line which
<br />is 160 feet west of the western right-of-way line of Channel Avenue
<br />(formerly Fifth Avenue) and its western terminus at the western right-
<br />of-way line of Holly Avenue."
