m <br /> <br />October 2~i~ 4998 <br /> <br />Helen Person, 1314 Green ~treet, spoke about relocating the horse <br />stables to 7th street. <br /> <br />Mayor Holley referred this matter to the City Manager for additional <br />information. <br /> <br />Andrew C, Davis, Jr., 601 Pembroke Avenue, Norfolk, representing the <br />Highland Biltmore young Marines asked that Council assist him in <br />finding a meeting place in Portsmouth for the Young Marines. <br /> <br />· Mr. Moody referred this matter to the City Manager and requested <br /> that the City assist the Young Marines in finding a meeting place. <br /> <br />SilVia Turner, 5923 Knights Bridge Way, spoke of the condition of the <br />retention pond at Bishop Green and its need to be cleaned out. <br /> <br />· Mr. Robinett referred this matter to the City Manager for action. <br />· Mr. Moody suggested looking at the new Hidden Cove development. <br /> <br />Ruth Rankins, 5928 Hampshire Green, spoke of the condition of the <br />retention pond at Bishop Green and its need to be cleaned out. <br /> <br />Reverend James R. Griffin, 1528 Maple Avenue, President of the Prentis <br />Place Civic League, spoke of problems in Prentis Place and his <br />opposition to Prentis Place being left out of the Vision 2005 Plan. <br /> <br />· Vice Mayor Griffin volunteered to meet with Reverend Griffin to talk <br /> with him about including this area as a "Vision 2005" effort/area. <br /> <br />Marian Goldman, 3544 Kentucky Trail, Chesapeake, spoke of selling her <br />doll collection to the City of Portsmouth for the Children's Museum of <br />Virginia. <br /> <br />On motion, meeting adjourned at 8:14 p.m. <br /> <br />Minutes prepared by: <br /> <br />Debbie K.
