Ca~0: was read: <br /> <br /> "We, the officers of Us by'76 Inc.~ a non-profit housing corporation of Portsmouth, Va.,~petition <br />this, governing body to asgist us in acquiring ten (10) acres of land in the Southside Urban Renewal Project. <br />We desire to apply to the P.R.H.A. for a 2 million dollar, 200 unit public housing complex for the Senior <br />Citizens of Tidewater, Va., under the National Housing Act of 1968, ~itle II, Section 201, 102 & 203." <br /> <br />Motion of Mr. Turner to receive for luther study was adopted without dissenting vote. <br /> <br />70-226 - The following letter from Mrs. Sadie Copeland and Mrs. Marjorie Mills was read: <br /> <br /> "We would like to be on the docket forThe Council meeting on May 26, 1970 to retaliate on the article <br />that appeared in the paper on May 14, 1970~ concerning food stamps by Mr. Donald K.
