Novemt "RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING¢?HE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY A PARCEL OF LAND LYING EAST OF THE EASTERN TERMINUS OF GLASGOW STREET TO PORTSMOUTH REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING AUTHORITY. BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to convey to Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority a parcel of land described as follows, to-wit: All that certain piece, or parcel of land, lying situate and being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, being all that portion of Glasgow Street, if extended eastwardly, which lies east of the eastern terminus of Glasgow Street (now closed and vacated), to the Pierhead Line along the Eastern Branch of the Elizabeth River as established by the United States Army Corps of Engineers. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is authorized to execute such deeds, or other documents as may be necessary to give full effect to said conveyance, upon such terms and conditions as he shall deem to be in the best interest of the City of Portsmouth. This resolution shall take effect upon its adoption." Ayes: Benn, Moody, Pitts, Robinett, Whitehurst, Holley Nays: None Motion by Mr. Whitehurst, and seconded by Mr. Moody, to adopt the following resolution, and was adopted by the following vote: "RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DEDICATE A PORTION OF WATER STREET AS A PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY. BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to dedicate a portion of land now known as Water Street from its point of intersection with the northern right of way line of London Street, northwardly and westwardly to the eastern right of way line of Crawford Street, as a public right of way. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to execute such deeds, plats and other documents as may necessary to give effect to this resolution. This resolution shall take effect upon its adoption." 'Ayes: Benn, Moody, Pitts, Robinett, Whitehurst, Holley Nays: None Motion by Mr. Moody, and seconded by Mr. Robinett, to adopt the following ordinance, and was adopted by the following vote: "ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $1,250,000 FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FUND FOR INTERIM COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE HOTEL AND CONFERENCE CENTER PROJECT."
