<br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he hereby is,
<br />authorized to lease back the aforementioned properties and facilities from the
<br />Authority, subject to such security interests as may be required in connection
<br />with financing for the Hotel and Conference Center Project.
<br />
<br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he hereby is,
<br />authorized to execute such plats, deeds, leases and other documents as may
<br />be necessary and appropriate to give effect to this resolution, and as he shall
<br />deem appropriate and in the best interest of the City."

<br /> Motion by Mr. Whitehurst, and seconded by Mr. Robinett, to adopt the
<br />following resolution, and was adopted by the following vote:
<br />
<br /> "RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A PARKING COOPERATION AGREEMENT
<br />WITH THE PORTSMOUTH REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING AUTHORITY AND
<br />THE PORTSMOUTH INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY.
<br />
<br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that,
<br />in support of the Hotel and Conference Center Project, the City Manager, for
<br />and on behalf of the City, is authorized and directed to sign a Parking
<br />Cooperation Agreement with the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing
<br />Authority and the Portsmouth Industrial Development Authority. The
<br />Agreement shall be substantially the same as that which is attached ~hereto and
<br />incorporated by reference¢~

<br /> Motion by Mr. Moody, and seconded by Mr. Robinett, to adopt the
<br />following resolution, and was adopted by the following vote:
<br />
<br /> "RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY
<br />PORTION OF GLASGOW STREET AS CLOSED AND VACATED, AND A
<br />PORTION OF VICTORY PARK ADJACENT TO SAID PORTION OF GLASGOW
<br />STREET TO PORTSMOUTH REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING AUTHORITY.
<br />
<br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia that
<br />the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to convey a portion of
<br />Glasgow Street closed and vacated by ordinance and described as follows, to-
<br />wit: All that certain portion of Glasgow Street located and being in the City of
<br />Portsmouth, Virginia, said portion lying east of the eastern right of way line of
<br />Crawford Street and west of the western right of way line of Water Street, and a
<br />portion of Victory Park adjacent to the portion of Glasgow Street hereby
<br />described to Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority, as he shall
<br />deem appropriate and necessary, and in the best interest of the City, and to
<br />execute such documents as may be necessary to said conveyance.
<br />
<br />This resolution 'shall take effect upon its adoption."
