November 10; ~1998 <br /> <br />(a) Adoption of a resolUfi0n authorizing the City Manager to sign a <br /> CoOperation Agreement With the POr~SmOuth indUstriaI <br /> Development Authority (IDA) for development of a Hotel and <br /> Conference Center Project on the waterfront. <br /> <br />(b) Adoption of a resolution authorizing the City Manager to pledge, <br /> lease or convey to the IDA its interest in certain public <br /> properties including City Hall, the Civic Center, and adjacent <br /> parking facilities; and to lease back these properties from the <br /> IDA subject to such security interest as may be required in <br /> connection with financing for the Hotel and Conference Center <br /> Project. <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />Adoption of a resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter <br />into a Parking Cooperation Agreement with the Portsmouth <br />RedeveloPment and Housing Authority and the IDA. <br /> <br />(d) <br /> <br />Adoption of a resolution authorizing the City Manager to convey <br />to the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority <br />(PRHA) the closed portion of Glasgow Street between Crawford <br />and Water Streets. <br /> <br />(e) Adoption of a resolution authorizing the City Manager to convey <br /> to the PRHA any interest it may have in a small parcel of land <br /> lying east of Water Street and north of London Street. <br /> <br />(f) Adoption of a resolution authorizing the City Manager to <br /> dedicate a portion of what is now designated as Water Street as <br /> a public right-of-way. <br /> <br />(g) Adoption of an ordinance appropriating $1,250,000 from the <br /> Capital Improvements Fund for interim costs for the Hotel and <br /> Conference Center Project to be reimbursed from IDA revenue <br /> bond proceeds. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />(a)A resolution authorizing the City Manager to sign a Cooperation <br /> Agreement with the Portsmouth Industrial Development Authority (IDA) <br /> for development of a Hotel and Conference Center Project on the <br /> waterfront. <br /> <br />(b) A resolution authorizing the City Manager to pledge, lease or convey to <br /> the IDA the City's interest in certain public properties including City <br /> Hall, the Civic Center, and adjacent parking facilities; and to lease back <br /> these properties from the IDA subject to such security interest as may <br /> be required in connection with financing for the Hotel and Conference <br /> Center Project. <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />A resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into a Parking <br />Cooperation Agreement with the Portsmouth Redevelopment and <br />Housing Authority and the Portsmouth Industrial Development <br />Authority. <br /> <br />(d) A resolution authorizing the City Manager to convey to the Portsmouth <br /> Redevelopment and Housing Authority the closed portion of Glasgow <br /> Street between Crawford and Water Streets. <br /> <br />(e) A resolution authorizing the City Manager to convey to the Portsmouth <br /> Redevelopment and Housing Authority any interest it may have in a <br /> small parcel of land lying east of Water Street and north of London <br /> Street. <br /> <br /> <br />
