On motion of Mr. Smith (R) the following resolution was adopted and by the following

<br />"RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE SEABOARD
<br />COAST LINE RAILROAD CONCERNING THE MAINTENANCE OF A DRAINAGE PIPE IN THE
<br />CHURCHLAND AREA.

<br /> Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, in regular
<br />meeting assembled that the City Manager of said City be, and he hereby is, authorized to
<br />enter into an agreement with the SEABOARD COAST LINE RAILROAD COMPANY and the CITY OF CHESAF
<br />PEAKE, VIRGINIA, and to sign same on behalf of said City of Portsmouth, whereby Rn agreement
<br />dated August 16, 1965, between the former Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Company, now Seaboard
<br />Coast Line Railroad Company, and the City of Chesapeake covering a'drainage pipe line crossin$
<br />at Chesapeake [now Portsmouth), Virginia, is assigned to the City of Portsmouth, Virginia,
<br />due to annexation: as more particularly set forth in said agreement, which agreement is
<br />dated March 6, 1970, a copy of which agreement is filed with this City Council."
