Beach, Va. <br /> <br />(4) <br /> <br />A small business <br />ment the present <br />Tidewater, Va. <br /> <br />loan to develop a housing industry in Southside, to supple- <br />and future demands of civilian and military programs in <br /> <br /> Any one or all of these action implemented with the aid of our city officials <br />could solve most of the problems of Southside~" <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Holley, was referred to the City's Grants Coordinator for exploration <br />and report to next City Council meeting, was adopted, without dissenting vote. <br /> <br /> 71-151 The following letter from the Compensation Board, Richmond, Va. was read: <br /> <br /> "This is to confirm action ~f the CompenSation Board taken at its meeting held on <br />yesterday, at which meeting you were present to discuss your budget for the next fiscal <br />year and also presented a request dated March 50 to purchase four pairs of handcuffs. <br /> <br /> Subject to concurrence by your City Council, the Compensation Board approved an al- <br />lowance of $50 for the fiscal year ending June $0, 1971 to cover the purchase of four pairs <br />of handcuffs." <br /> <br />On motion of Mr. Holley, was received as information, and by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Holley, Johnson, King, Irvine Smith, Raymond Smith, Turner, Barnes <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />71-152 - The following letter from the Compensation Board, Richmond, Va. was read: <br /> <br /> "Reference is made to your February, 1971 expense voucher.
